Sofrelog provides Range Surveillance Systems for military and other authorities for preventing incursions into dangerous areas when weapons testing or launch operations are taking place. These systems are based on SYTAR, our unique processing technology. This technology can be specifically configured to detect small targets such as small boats and other vessels that might inadvertently stray into range areas. Proprietary tracking algorithms, and clutter filtering techniques enable the powerful software to piece small amounts of input into meaningful data.

Specialized Sensor Deployment: Each system is custom developed to meet specific needs of the area. Our engineering team can analyze such factors as the nature of the terrain, areas of possible incursion, and sensor range to develop a system design that is appropriate. This can include a variety of sensors types, interfaces with existing systems, sensor security and even multiple site control.

Standard Hardware and Networking Technology: Our systems are based on Commercial off-the-shelf hardware (COTS), the initial cost as well as the long-term maintenance costs are very much less than one might image. In addition, these systems are easy to learn, and made to comply with established operational standards.

Advanced Software: The most remarkable aspect of our systems is SYTAR (link), the unique software technology the has set new standards for vessel detection, identification and tracking. SYTAR is a fully integrated series of software programs that enable highly accurate tracking, even in difficult weather conditions, clear display of all traffic, and sophisticated tools for monitoring, and recording maritime events.

Established Surveillance Principles: Sensors such as radar, infrared cameras and night vision cameras work together to detect, identify, monitor and aid in the process of apprehension. Electronic perimeters tied to alarms can be established around sensitive areas. Contacts identified to be of interest can be monitored and recorded; their position history and encounters with other boats can be quickly viewed. Complete archiving of activities is provided.
